![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My second question after testing it is "How does the switch not make any difference?!". My first question is why that's the setup instead of the switch being in series and actually breaking the circuit. When the switch is off, the switch just short circuits the mic wires so the resistance between the tip and sleeve on the plug goes from about 300 Ohm when on to about zero when off. When the switch is on, the circuit simply goes through the cord, through the mic and back through the cord - simple enough. I just took an old microphone apart to fix a damaged cord. Let me preface this by saying that I don't really grok how microphones work, and this question has only proven that point further. ![]()
